The latest Summer Collection from Ace & Jig (New York) features pieces made in a delightful spectrum of pastel candy colours. Fancy yarns are thrown into fabrics for added dimension - metallic yarns in lurex stripes, a neon pink in their fabrics, and several twist and slub yarns in their grainsack fabrics.





Our love for Ace & Jig ... cannot be put down into words. But we can surely list our reasons -

(2) Every single piece of textile used in their collection is custom designed, and created hand in hand with weavers in India. How rare is that level of dedication? (3) Their allegiance to, and rare understanding of colour. Throwing colours like lime, mango, neon pinks and browns into the mix, and still making it work? We're impressed.

LABEL DEBUT : Founded in 1995 with with more enthusiasm than experience, two Spanish lads embarked on the adventure of creating a clothing brand - and Loreak Mendian was born.

And what an adventure it was. Creating pieces that draw inspiration not from glaring runways, but from the experiences, sights, and sounds of real life, their understanding of a women's form is evident in their bright billowly pants in canary yellows and florals, forgiving A-line dresses in nautical patterns, and tie-back dresses in pretty Bahamas prints.

SIFR Clothing: Expect the unexpected

Newest in store are pieces we've handpicked from - our good friend, homegrown label - Sifr's latest drop.

This time round, they looked to the colours of the Earth and the Sky, and referred to the rich textures of South Asia to come up with a winning warm colour palette: You will see breathable jersey knits, dressy shirts with fabrics that have gone through micro-sand finishing (to give unusually soft textures), and an interesting crinkle resin finish. As always, the details are refined, thoughtful, and innovative.

We have come to really enjoy expecting this kind of unexpected from them.
